Ths is track 3 of "Orbit Utopia", one of our 12 musical biographies of somewhat eccentric scientist. The song deals with Honoré Fragonard (1732-1799), a French anatomist who began to prepare bodies of animals and men as exhibits for studying purposes in the 1760’s. After six years of serving as a professor at a veterinary school in Paris where he made thousands of anatomical pieces – the so called écorchés – he was expelled as a madman. He continued to create those pieces at his home, selling them to members of the aristocracy.
